The mission of this HEALTHY WEIGHT 4 LIFE course is to provide a self-directed guideline to developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
This approach is based upon personal goals, current eating habits, physical activity level, and readiness to change.
This comprehensive self-paced training program will show how to to adjust food intake to create a healthy and balanced diet, and to identify physical activities to practice and enjoy for a lifetime. The mind/body connection and social support & personal wellness components explore behaviors that may interfere with long-term weight-loss maintenance.
DESIGN OF COURSE
The HEALTHY WEIGHT 4 LIFE online course is divided into 64 lessons, delivered over 16 weeks. We suggest that you apply these lessons in a manner that provides “small change” learning experiences to create early success and motivation. Each week introduces concepts and behaviors that build upon the previous week’s material.

EXPECTATIONS
Weight Loss Recommendations: Our weight-loss program encourages weight loss of 1 to 2 pounds each week by changing behavior that can be maintained long term. A healthy weight loss over the 16 weeks can be between 10 and 30 pounds.
A personal weight-loss goal should be based on initial body mass index and long-term goals. Personal progress charts and graphs on this site can serve as encouragement.
